Letter from the Dean

Welcome to our Lake Campus website

albayyari_jay_web.jpgWelcome! I am excited to begin my journey as Dean of the Lake Campus of Wright State University. It is an exciting time for the Lake Campus, as we continue to experience growth and plan for expansion to accommodate this growth in the near future. Whether it is academic programs, facilities or opportunities for community involvement and engagement, there is always something new to enjoy at the Lake!

My family and I are happy to be back in Ohio, where I earned my bachelor’s, master’s and doctorate degrees in mechanical engineering, all from the University of Cincinnati. After serving as faculty at Northern Kentucky University and Eastern Michigan University, I arrived at Indiana University – Purdue University Fort Wayne in 2006 where I served as associate vice chancellor for research, engagement and sponsored programs. As the Lake Campus grows in these areas and with faculty heavily involved in research, it is a perfect fit for me.

Here within our beautiful park-like setting, these faculty provide a quality education, with many bringing their research into the classroom. As a regional campus of Wright State University, you’ll find all the benefits of a “big” campus but with small classes, affordable tuition and a community-supported atmosphere.  Right on the north shore of Grand Lake St. Marys in Celina, we offer campus housing, student organizations and athletics, and a growing variety of degree options.

Ten bachelor's degrees, ranging from liberal studies to engineering, are available in their entirety at the Lake Campus. We also offer twenty associate degrees and an MBA Program, plus Wright State CORE (general education) and classes toward all the one hundred plus degrees offered on our Dayton Campus.

I invite you to come discover the Lake Campus!
