Food science is an applied science involving the application of scientific principles to create healthy, nutritious, safe and convenient foods for consumers. Ohio is an industry leader in fruit and vegetable processing, animal foods, dairy production and bakeries. Our program prepares students for technical and leadership positions to meet the growing job opportunities in these and other subsectors in the food manufacturing industry.
