This program in mathematics and statistics is designed to provide graduate-level credentials to allow high school teachers to teach college-level mathematics courses in their high schools through College Credit Plus (CCP). In addition, teachers completing this program will meet the Ohio Department of Higher Education (ODHE) standards for eligibility to teach courses in Ohio public community colleges and universities. Students who complete the Certificate program are well-positioned to enter the MS Program in Mathematics.
Secondary math teachers who wish to pursue the teaching credential/certificate must complete the following steps:
The application form must be completed with all the required documents attached. The form when completed must be signed and dated. All application materials become the property of the Graduate School and cannot be returned.

Students may earn a certificate in mathematics and statistics by completing the following program of courses, with a minimum GPA of 3.0 and at most two C grades:
Required:
Total: 19 semester credit hours
Appropriate regularly offered 6000 level MTH/STT courses could be substituted with the approval of the Department of Mathematics and Statistics. Students should meet with the department’s program advisor to develop an individual program of study before scheduling classes.
