Fall 2019 Orientation Overview

Registration is now open!

Orientation is a program designed to assist both incoming freshmen and College Credit Plus students with making the transition to college life at the Lake Campus. Participation in this new student program is mandatory and will help ensure you are Wright State Ready. Not only will you have the opportunity to meet with an Academic Advisor and register for Fall classes, you will also learn about university policies and procedures and explore our campus services. Orientation sessions are grouped by major, and we have sessions scheduled throughout the summer.

Summer Semester 2019

Academic Advisors will start seeing students on January 23; call (419) 586-0300 to schedule an individual appointment! Summer classes begin May 13, 2019.

How to Register:

  • Log in to your Admissions Portal with the email and password you created to apply.
  • Under Next Steps, select Lake Orientation Registration.
    • If your major is listed incorrectly, do not register for a session. Contact Enrollment Services at 419-586-0232 to update your major.

It is strongly recommended to register for the earliest available Orientation date, and to register as soon as possible. Registration will close when the session is full, or a week before the session.

What you can do now:

Become familiar with your Wright State accounts. Log in to wright.edu/apply with the email and password you used to apply to the university. Under Next Steps, click on Access your Student Portal. Follow the steps to reset the PIN and password for your accounts. Make sure to write down your UID, campus username, and email address. (If you have already accessed it but want to view it again, click on Display your Wright State Account Information.) You will need all of this information during your Orientation session. Visit the CaTS website for further information about your Wright State accounts.

Apply for 2019-2020 FAFSA. If you plan to use federal financial aid to help pay for classes, you will need to complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Although you can complete FAFSA at any time during the academic year, the earlier you send it to Wright State the better! Visit the Raider Connect website for additional information

Apply for Lake Campus housingIf you plan to live on campus, you will need to apply separately. You will find the application in your WINGS Express, or through a link in your admissions portal. Assignments will be made according to the time and date of application for students who have submitted a complete application with pre-payment, so apply early!
