Overview
The 2026 Regional Workforce Summit brought around 100 people from area employers to the Lake Campus. The topic for the year was learning how to connect with the next generation workforce. Dr. Andrea Faber, Lake Campus Vice Provost & Chief Administrative Officer, welcomed attendees and introduced Dr. Sue Edwards, President of Wright State University. Dr. Edwards shared how important it is to the Lake Campus and Wright State University to continue to meet the needs of our area employers. Attendees heard from Shawn Hendrix, Talent Strategy Manager from JobsOhio, on building Ohio's future technician pipeline. Jon Dingledine, CEO of Mercer Health, shared Mercer Health's vision for the future healthcare workforce. David Burrows, Executive Vice President of Engagement from the Dayton Development Coalition, finished up the presentations with a summary of the region. To end the morning, Lake Campus students led round table discussions, learning more about the skills local employers look for.
