CELINA, OH – On Thursday, April 25, 2024, the Lake Campus of Wright State University will hold its 52nd annual Commencement Ceremony at Romer’s Catering in Celina, OH. The ceremony will begin at 5:30 P.M.
Susan Edwards, Ph.D., President, Wright State University, will be providing the Commencement Address. The 2024 Outstanding Alumnus Award Recipient, Luke VanTilburg, will be honored at the ceremony and will be providing remarks to the graduates. VanTilburg received an associate, bachelor’s and master’s degree from the Lake Campus and is the current Chief Financial Officer for VanTilburg Farms. Andrea Faber, Ph.D., Lake Campus Vice Provost & Chief Administrative Officer, will preside over the ceremony.
Zachary Pleiman, of Ft. Loramie, will be providing remarks on behalf of the Class of 2024. Pleiman will be earning a bachelor’s of science in mechanical engineering and is the 2024 Top Scholar for the Lake Campus. The Top Scholar Awards began 1995. One student is selected by the Office of the Dean of each of the six undergraduate colleges, and the Lake Campus. Top Scholars are awarded a book in their honor which is made a permanent part of the Unviersity LIbraries' collections. The book honoring Pleiman is Theory of Machines: Kinematics and Dynamics, by Dustin Green.
The Lake Campus will be conferring over 180 degrees with nearly 110 students expected to participate in the ceremony. This is a ticketed event for the guests of graduates.
