About the Business Enterprise Center
The Business Enterprise Center (BEC) at Wright State University–Lake Campus provides a multi-pronged approach to entrepreneurial issues, business development, and workforce training. Free, comprehensive business consulting is available to new or small existing businesses.
The goals of the BEC are the following:
- Promote and support entrepreneurs with experienced business consultants in many areas pertaining to business operations
- Assist agencies and organizations especially those located in our service area of Auglaize, Mercer, and Van Wert Counties
- Be a conduit and provider of essential business training and workforce development in West Central Ohio
- Be a confidential, practical asset to the business community as well as to our manufacturing partners
- Provide advanced technical training in specialized areas of manufacturing with a blend of online classes and hands-on skill validation labs

- Financial statements and recordkeeping
Customized Training
High-quality business and industry training geared towards your company’s specific needs is available through the Business Enterprise Center at a per-hour, reasonable cost. If you have a number of people needing training, OR, you want specific training content, an on-site or on-campus customized training might be the best solution. We have access to a wide range of experts in fields as diverse as supervisory training to PLC training.

Office Hours
One-on-one counseling appointments are scheduled individually to ensure convenience and confidentiality. Our office is open Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Fridays by appointment. Enter the double doors located on the west side of Trenary Hall.
