CELINA, OH – Wright State University – Lake Campus kicked off Fall Semester on Monday, August 27, 2018 with its highest enrollment to date. Staff, faculty, and student employees welcomed the record-breaking Lakers into the academic year with a variety of free activities.
- T-Shirt Giveaway: On Tuesday, September 4, the first 400 students to stop by the Dwyer Hall entrance received a free t-shirt adorned with the Wright State Lake Campus logo.
- Campus-Community Connection Fair: On Wednesday, September 12, more than 30 campus groups and community businesses/organizations set up custom booths on the front lawn. This networking event allowed Lakers to learn about local opportunities for part-time and full-time employment, internships-co/ops, volunteer opportunities, services/resources, and products. Students were able to pick up informational handouts, and snag free giveaways such as coffee/cider, candy, cookies, sunglasses, hand sanitizer, car phone chargers, bracelets, pens, highlighters, cups, bags, and much more. Several booths also offered prize raffles and interactive games. Participating groups included:

- Diversity Celebration Picnic: On Thursday, September 13, approximately 325 students and employees joined together for a free luncheon on the Dwyer Patio. This event offered a social opportunity for students to interact, while learning about the importance of diversity through signage placed in the seating area. The goal of the picnic, held 1-2 times each year, is to bring all Lake Campus students together to create opportunities to build a strong campus community moving forward.
- The Barnes & Noble Lake Campus Bookstore also offers free popcorn and prize raffles throughout the semester, while Enrollment Services will host two “Fall Refresher” sessions aimed at first-year students.
