The Business Management Technology program prepares you for professional positions through an integrated curriculum that provides foundational business knowledge, develops critical thinking skills, and promotes software proficiency. You will gain expertise in business software and digital technologies, while developing strong communication and managerial abilities. The program emphasizes decision-making strategies and ethical principles, equipping you with the essential skills needed for a successful career. If you are interested in furthering your studies you can continue your education in the Supervision and Management concentration of the Technical and Applied Studies, BTAS program
You will be educated as a professional who makes decisions and uses technology, communication skills, and expertise to advance the public image and purpose of the businesses or organizations you work for. These careers offer opportunities for advancement and leadership within organizations, leveraging the skills and knowledge gained with a focus on applied studies and practical training. Students can go on to start their careers at leading businesses such as Honda, Crown, Midmark, and Reynolds and Reynolds, but will also prepare you for positions in government agencies and nonprofits.
This program is designed to teach you skills and knowledge you can apply immediately in a career field. Many of the classes arm you with the knowledge of the latest software and technology while you build critical skills in communication, problem-solving, and leadership. A business career profiles course helps you prepare for the job market while internship classes will help you build your resume before you graduate. We arm you with the knowledge and experiences you need to transition from student to professional. You'll get hands-on experience through a variety of community-based programs, service-learning opportunities, internships, and research. You will be taught skills you apply to a career immediately, like spreadsheet applications, financial accounting applications, professional organizational skills and business communication.

Review the admission requirements and complete the admission application. Identify whether you will be majoring in business management technology (The applied business technologies program name has changed to business management technology, until the name change is updated in the catalog, select applied business technologies on the application).
If you are a current student and wish to change majors, go to the WINGS Express major/minor change request form and change your major. If you are an undecided/exploratory student, talk to your advisor about majoring in applied business technology.
