The Associate of Applied Business in Graphic and Multimedia Design will prepare you for versatility in the employment field. The work you will perform is challenging, exciting, and highly engaging. A skilled graphic designer will benefit employers to help them to communicate with their audience.

These professionals will use computer software to create layouts, advertisements, newsletters, brochures, photography, books, photography and video editing, web pages, and other collateral material for both print and media. Classes have hands-on experience with software including industry standards such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Animate, Premiere Pro, and HTML/CSS coding. Technology utilized in this program includes standard optical devices and technological devices to develop a strong design knowledge for communication in business, marketing, and other related areas.

Careers

This program prepares you for graphic and multimedia design in a variety of careers and industries. An associate degree is a sufficient way to start a career. You will gain foundational necessary skills to become a desktop publisher, printing designer, layout artist, photographer, or web developer.

Real-World Experience

We arm you with the knowledge and experiences you need to transition from student to professional. You will gain hands-on experience through a variety of community-based programs, service-learning opportunities, internships, and research projects.

You will develop a portfolio of work to showcase design skills and software aptitude when applying for a position in the design field.
