Are you a high school student?

Congratulations on your acceptance to Wright State University–Lake Campus! Now what? Here is a general list of guidelines for you to follow as a newly admitted student.

Make sure to visit the Next Steps section of your Admissions Portal on a regular basis.

Visit Campus

Come visit campus—we would love to show you around! We offer individual tours and open houses.

Student Account Information

Log into your Admissions Portal and select Access Your Student Portal under Next Steps to get your WINGS, WINGS Express, and Wright State email login. For help, call the CaTS Help Desk at 937-775-4827.

Financial Aid

To apply for loans, grants, and work-study, you will need to submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at www.fafsa.gov. The 2021–22 FAFSA becomes available on October 1. You will use the previous year's tax information. 

  • Wright State’s Title IV Code is 003078 
  • The priority deadline for the 2021-22 FAFSA as been extended from February 1, 2021 to April 1, 2021.

Scholarships

Lake Campus students are eligible for both general academic scholarships based on your academic performance, Western Ohio Educational Foundation scholarships, and Wright State University Foundation scholarships. Visit financial aid and scholarships for more application details, deadlines, and a scholarship calculator. No scholarship application is needed to be considered for an Academic Performance Scholarship. Academic Performance Scholarships are awarded once you apply and are admitted. The Academic Performance Scholarship deadlien has been extended from February 1, 2021 to April 1, 2021. Funds are awarded as available. Complete the Wright State University Scholarship Application to apply for Western Ohio Educational Foundation scholarships and donor-based scholarships by February 1.

Campus Housing

Apply to live on campus. The Wright State University–Lake Campus housing sits west of campus and consists of townhouse-style apartments with a beautiful view of Grand Lake St. Marys. Each apartment has four or five bedrooms, with the option of a private or a shared bedroom. You are encouraged to request roommates if they are living in a shared bedroom.

Make sure your high school sends Wright State University a final high school transcript, with your graduation date posted on it once graduation has occurred. If you’ve completed any College Credit Plus courses during high school, you will need to contact the universities to request an official transcript to be sent to Wright State University.

Orientation and Class Registration

You will receive information in the Spring of 2021 about new student orientation and class registration.

College Transcripts

If you are currently attending another university, make sure official transcripts are sent to Wright State University once the term has been completed.
