Congratulations on your acceptance to Wright State University–Lake Campus! Here is a general list of guidelines for you to follow as a newly admitted student.

Make sure to visit the Next Steps section of your Admissions Portal on a regular basis.

  • Complete your Statement of Intent

Visit your Admissions Portal and let us know you're ready to become a Laker! Completing your Statement of Intent will allow you to register for orientation. Orientation registration will be available in March.

  • Set up your Wright State student accounts

Visit your Admissions Portal and follow the instructions in the SET UP YOUR ACCOUNT section. You’ll use this account for everything from scholarship applications and financial aid to registering for classes. Keep this information handy, as you’ll use it every semester throughout your time at Wright State!

  • Apply for and Accept Your Financial Aid

Submitting your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is your first step to applying for federal, state, and need-based institutional aid. To maximize your financial aid package, ensure your FAFSA is submitted by Wright State's February 1 priority deadline each year. If you’ve already submitted your FAFSA, check your award status and accept your award through WINGS.

Wright State’s Title IV Code is 003078.

  • Apply for Scholarships

Wright State Lake Campus students have access to a wide range of first-year scholarships designed to make your education more affordable. These awards can be paired with our competitive scholarships, which you can apply for using a single online application. By submitting this one application, you’ll be considered for multiple opportunities through the Western Ohio Educational Foundation and Wright State Foundation based on the specific eligibility criteria for each.

The online application is available to students once they are admitted to the university. The priority deadline to complete the online application for the 2026–27 academic year is February 1, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST).

  • Apply for Campus Housing

Wright State University–Lake Campus housing sits west of campus and consists of townhouse-style apartments with a beautiful view of Grand Lake St. Marys. Each apartment has four or five bedrooms, with the option of a private or shared bedroom. You are encouraged to request roommates if they are living in a shared bedroom.

  • Submit Final High School and College Transcripts

Make sure your high school sends Wright State University a final high school transcript with your graduation date posted on it once graduation has occurred. If you’ve completed any College Credit Plus courses during high school, you will need to contact the universities to request an official transcript to be sent to Wright State University.

  • Attend Orientation and Register for Classes

Information about our summer orientation sessions will be sent to you this spring.
