CELINA, OH – The Lake Campus of Wright State University–Lake Campus recently held a CCP Summit. The event gathers local school districts and state officials annually to discuss and receive updates from Ohio’s College Credit Plus Program.
Ohio’s College Credit Plus helps students earn college and high school credits at the same time by taking college courses from community colleges or universities. The purpose of the program is to promote rigorous academic pursuits and to provide a wide variety of options to college-ready students. Taking a college course from a public college or university College Credit Plus is free to the student.
The Western Ohio Educational Foundation sponsored a $500 scholarship to be given to a school in attendance. In return, the school awards the $500 scholarship to a 2024 graduate who will be attending the Lake Campus. This year’s winner was Lincolnview High School located in Van Wert County.
The Western Ohio Educational Foundation is a 501c3 organization that supports higher education in the Lake Campus region through financial and philanthropic means. One of the missions of the WOEF Board is to support students of the Lake Campus with over $200,000 in scholarships yearly.
