The Bachelor of Technical Applied Studies degree in the multimedia program prepares you for employment as a designer with the job of combining various types of interactive media, composed of audio, images, kinetic text, vectors, and video with special effects to communicate information to an audience. Multimedia students build on their graphic skills and abilities with cutting edge media software and hardware such as Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Animate, Premiere Pro, Audition, Maya, Unity, Virtual Reality VIVE System, and 360 Camera to create attention-grabbing visuals and multimedia presentations and virtual experiences.
Graduates from this program go on to work as graphic designers and multimedia designers in advertising agencies, public relations firms, internet marketing companies, and other media companies, including newspapers and magazines, are employing multimedia as a major strategy for improving services and gaining an edge over the competition.
Classes involve hands-on experiences that bridge the gap between multiple disciplines which lead to creating media elements that excite, explain, and entertain. You will develop animations, motion graphics, videography, augmented reality, promotional experiences, and 3D virtual environment models for prototype solutions for training and learning experiences.

If you are a current student and wish to change majors, go to the WINGS Express major/minor change request form and change your major. If you are an undecided/exploratory student, talk to your advisor about majoring in multimedia design.
