Wright State University's First Year Student Scholarship Program is merit-based and designed to recognize academically outstanding and creatively talented students. More than 2,000 new freshmen were offered over $8 million in scholarships for the 2019–20 academic year. Scholarships range in value from $500 to $20,000. For more details on competitive scholarship opportunities, use the scholarship search to see what you may qualify for. Students can submit ONE scholarship application to be considered for multiple donor based scholarships funded through the Wright State University Foundation as well as scholarships funded by the University. The system will automatically match students with any scholarships for which they are eligible. Final awards will be determined by various scholarship committees. (Login to your Admissions Portal and click on "Complete Online Scholarship Application" under Next Steps.)
(There may be other department/division scholarship options not yet associated with this application, so check with the chair or program director in your department for any other options)
Be sure your online scholarship application is submitted by 11:59 p.m. (EST) on February 1, 2020.
Scholarship award decisions begin in the spring and continue throughout the summer. If a scholarship has been posted to a student’s award notice, the student will receive the general Financial Aid Award notification email via their Wright State University email account. The Award Notice is available in WINGS Express. A scholarship award letter will also be mailed by either the Office of Financial Aid or the department/college who made the award.
