Resident Parking

Due to limited parking spaces, the resident parking lot is restricted to resident students only. Resident students must visibly display a resident parking permit in their vehicle in order to park in this lot. Resident parking permits are issued by the community coordinator and must be returned once the student moves out of campus housing. There is a $15 replacement fee for lost, stolen, or broken permits. The university assumes no responsibility for vehicles or their contents, including lost or stolen permits.

All parking areas are closely monitored by the Wright State University–Lake Campus Police. Parking tickets will be issued for violations of rules and regulations.

Student Parking Tickets

  1. Once a student has received a parking ticket, the fee will be added to their student account. At that point, the student may either pay the assessed fee or dispute the ticket.
  2. Tickets may be paid at the Office of Enrollment Services located in Dwyer Hall. If you wish to dispute the ticket, you must contact the Wright State University–Lake Campus police via phone (ext. 8449, 419-586-0249) or email (tyler.pottkotter@wright.edu).
  3. If you dispute a ticket but the explanation is found not sufficient, you can then appeal the ticket by filling out and submitting the parking and transportation violation appeal form.
  4. Appeals will be reviewed by the appeals committee, which will consist of the student services director, student conduct officer, and a designated student representative.
  5. If parking problems continue, the issue will be forwarded to student conduct as a violation of the Wright Way Policy.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding parking, please contact the Wright State University–Lake Campus Police (tyler.pottkotter@wright.edu or ext. 8449, 419-586-0249) for additional information.
